A Yeshivish term for something reminiscent of a Jewish home, e.g., home-cooked cholent, kugel, latkes, etc.

I can't wait to go home for Shabbos, I could use some heimish cooking!

Slang for "write back," "get back to me," or even "RSVP." Used primarily for written communication.

Person A: Have you been ignoring my texts?
Person B: No! I was really busy. Volley back.

When someone on facebook has a fear of commenting, "liking" things, or posting pictures.

Person 1: Why didn't you respond to my post?
Person 2: Sorry, I've got facebook phobia.

yeshivish

A type of English which includes phrases from Torah learning. It is generally used by Jewish men/women who have spent some time in a yeshiva/seminary.

Person 1: This ice cream is geshmak!
Person 2: What does geshmak mean?
Person 3: It's yeshivish for "fantastic."
