wuss [wussy]

Combination word comprised of "woman" and "pussy", first coined on the preadolescent playgrounds of the early 1970's. Considered one of the most insulting things young boys at the time could call each other. Each word by itself was an insult, and by combining both words into one it doubled the the insult. Started out as wussy, and in later years was shortened to wuss.
"You can't catch a pass you wuss wussy."

"Are you too chicken to try it? You're such a wuss wussy."

Chicken-wuss

The most extreme stage of 'pussiness', a chicken-wuss lacks any and all courage and integrity in the heat of battle, and instead of fighting to survive, goes fetal and/or avoids all situations with a possible negative outcome.
"I got stuck with chicken-wuss and some guy who just reached puberty in my squad..." - Seifer Almasy, Final Fantasy VIII.

Invented in the summer of 1964 by an eight year old San Diego elementary school Boy named Don who needed to find a new name that none of the bullies would recognize. The popular insult names at that time were Wimpy, from the "Popeye The Sailer" cartoon and Pussy from the obvious. Wussy and Wuss kept them confused for a short time and gave the abused a short victory over the bullies. In the beginning Don actually had them conviced it was a compliment. By 1972 it had become a real comon word at Clairemont High School and was later momorialized in the 1982 movie "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" that characterized those people at Clairemont High.

Supposed "rock" music that is a contradition in and of itself. Music that is not about expressing the raw emotion or energy that is rock, but instead a kind of masterbatory limp sadness. Some of the best rock contains elements of sadness and helplessness, but honestly express their frustrations through modes of both melancholic somberness as well as ventilative "rocking out." Instead of regaining one's power through the "rock", "Wuss rock" does the very opposite and allows the crybaby whose girlfriend dumped him to continue crying into his perfume-scented pillow.
Good Charlotte, A Simple Plan, and generally songs about how she left you're so sad.
