Turkic Muslims living in Xinjiang, western China. Minority group in China. Heavily-oppressed by the Chinese Communist Party.

The word "Uyghur" itself has no standardized English spelling, since it is normally written in the Arabic alphabet (which is difficult to standardize into English). Can also be spelled "Uighur", "Uygur", "Uigur".

Like the Tibetans, the Uyghurs are looked down upon as being lesser people to the Han-dominated CCP.

A minority group in China that is being genocided against by the CCP that no major powers, including the UN has denounced despite being a modern day holocaust.

The Audacity of the major powers saying that they would have never let another holocaust happen under their watch but let this one slide because of political and trading reasons.

The only genocide in history where the genocided minority population grows faster than the majority allegedly perpetuating the genocide.

Uyghur Genocide 

A cultural genocide being perpetrated by the CPC against the Uyghurs. Doesn't actually involve killing but rather forceful incorporation of the Uyghur identity into an overall Chinese one by destroying their culture.

The CPC will combat these allegations of genocides with videos of Uyghurs dancing (wearing dresses which aren't actually Uyghur). The 2024 Chinese new year program included a section in Kashgar where Uyghurs were singing "Xinjiang is a good place" in Mandarin.

Although the process has been documented by the UN and numerous other organisations, many fascists and tankies still believe the Uyghur genocide is a lie created by the CIA.

Uyghur Truth Project provides a lot of concrete evidence for the genocide (as well as the UN report in 2021)

Uyghur genocide denial is horrible and it needs to stop.
