Having flown both Boeings and Airbuses for over 30 years, I can see good points about each type, but any suggestion that Airbuses are not well built is foolish. In many ways their build quality is superior. Boeing is superior in other areas, such as flight control philosophy.

The forward thinking European consortium manufacturing high quality, modern and advanced passenger jets showing Boeing (or should that be Boring?) how it's really done. And even the Americans are realising this, do you realise how many American companies are suppliers to Airbus?

The A320 is a narrow-body airliner developed by Airbus in the 1980s. It was designed to compete with the Boeing 737 Classic and the McDonnell Douglas MD-90 and it was the first commercial airliner to make use of digital fly-by-wire control. The aircraft is powered by either CFM-56 or IAE V2500 engines producing approximately 120kN/27,000lbf of thrust each. In 2010, Airbus launched an updated version of the A320 called the A320neo, where "neo" stands for "New Engine Option". This aircraft comes with new engines (CFM LEAP 1A or Pratt and Whitney PW1100G) and new blended winglets known as Sharklets and these upgrades make the aircraft around 15-20% more fuel efficient than its predecessor.
The Airbus A320's main competitor is the Boeing 737NG, an updated version of the 737 Classic which the A320 was initially designed to compete with

A super modern jet airliner from Airbus. After Boeing agreed to GE’s offer to make their GE90 and GE9X engines exclusive on the 777 models, Airbus made the smart decision and giving Rolls Royce exclusivity on their A350 and A330neo. Having its first flight in 2014, it has proven to be an ultra fuel efficient long range wide body airliner. It even inspired Boeing to copy it and make a 777X. Not only that, but the Trent XWB engines sound much better than those found on the 787 and 777.
Sweet, our plane got switched from a 777 to an Airbus A350!
