shoggoth

An enormous being the size of a subway train, created to build the giant cities of the Old Ones. Just seeing it is a mind-blowing thing. The name means "Inhabitant of the kingdom of darkness."
Currentaly living in vast lightless caverns and tunnnels under Antartica.
It was a terrible, indescribable thing vaster than any subway train - a shapeless congeries of protoplasmic bubbles, faintly self-luminous, and with myriads of temporary eyes forming and un-forming as pustules of greenish light all over the tunnel-filling front that bore down upon us, crushing the frantic penguins and slithering over the glistening floor that it and its kind had swept so evilly free of all litter... shoggoth

Any impressively large and overweight goth; often glimpsed spilling out of an ill-fitting corset or waistcoat in the corner of dingy nightclubs. From the amorphous, roiling Cthulhu Mythos monster of the same name.
"Christ, I was hammered last night; woke up with {NAME} taking up most of the bed"

"Blood hell, you shagged that shoggoth! Did you lose d10 sanity for seeing them naked? If you carry on like that, you'll have to wear an Elder sign on your crotch."

(pause) "You fucking geek!"

shoggoth

Amoeboid-shaped extra-planar demon one can summon for grotesque sexual gratification. Inspiration for many, many manga flicks, though the entity certainly should not be confused with a titillating cartoon character, however horrific.
Ex: "Umm, you need an Elder Sign to summon a shoggoth, but even with one, you will probably be killed before you can mold a protoplasmic pussy. Better stick with your sister, she doesn't know any better after the accident anyway," confided Cletus.

shoggothic

Describing the extreme dualities that coexist within powerful technological forces—especially artificial intelligence—which hold the potential to both elevate humanity through positive advancements and annihilate it through callous, unchecked, self-aware expansion.
“AI might usher in global prosperity or help reverse climate change—or, in a truly shoggothic scenario, create a system that learns at a geometric rate, becomes self-aware, and destroys all humanity without pity or remorse.”

The word 'flag' as pronounced by people with thick Belfast accents. The term is a perfect encapsulation of the disproportionate and overblown reaction to the removal of the Union Jack (as in 'de fleg') from above City Hall in Belfast. Where previously it had flown for 365 days per year, it is now flown on 17 designated days of the year - in line with many other British cities.

The event caused a portion of the Protestant community ('fleggers') to make international pricks of themselves as they proceeded to wreck the fucking place, claiming it was another erosion of a 'British' identity they perceive to have been under attack since the horrifying spectre of equality reared its head in Northern Ireland.

The word 'fleg' - and indeed 'fleggers' - fittingly describes a section of humanity unconcerned with knowledge, reality or the vagaries of the English language. Like America's tea-baggers they are ruled by instinct, fear and paranoia with a side dish of rampant bigotry and startling ignorance of the world around them.
"Wat de fuck like! The taigs got de fleg took down! Let's wreck de fuckin place! No surrender!"

"De fleg has been took down! Before ye know it there'll be a united Ireland! Attack Short Strand! God Save The Queen!"
