Pretective 

verb - to be preemptively protective of anything that isn't yours yet.

equivalent to being mad about a "dibs" call going unrespected

alt usage - hoarders unwilling to let go of something, saying it will be useful/valuable in the future
example:

P1: I can't believe Mark's upset about Tammy going out with Jason
P2: I know right? He's so pretective of her when they haven't even talked before

preductive 

What you are before you are productive. This phase usually includes procrastination activities such as watching TV on the internet or typing in 'facebook.com' into your address bar when you are already on Facebook.
Oh man, I have to be preductive for at least 4 hours before I write my paper. Maybe I'll watch all of 30 Rock again.

Protective Custody

Protective custody is the place in county jail where the snitches, child molesters and homosexuals are placed. PC for short. PC punks are what the inmates are called.
Dumbass is now in protective custody because he snitched to the guards about homeboy making pruno.

Protective 

Someone can/is be protective of you when they care about you and the way you feel. They don't want you to get hurt, and want to protect your feelings. A protective person is always there talk to, and to hear you out when you have a problem. They are the best kind of friend because you can always trust them. They always have your back. Try not to ever lose a friend if they are protective of you because that kind of friend is hard to ever find again. Having someone be protective over you is the best feeling in one of the best feelings in the world.
Boy- Hey! How are you feeling today? better than yesterday?

Girl- Yeah. I am feeling better. Thanks for caring and being protective of me. It means a lot to me.

a neurotic condition, typically occuring in new mothers, in which the child protection instinct completely overwhelms all sense of sanity, reason and normal social behavior.
My sister-in-law won't be attending Thanksgiving Dinner because her son's naptime is from 12:22 to 1:47 and she heard I was sick two weeks ago, is afraid I could still be contagious - complete Over Protective Syndrome (OPS).
