A genre of independent films in which the characters are involved in a personal crisis. Known for their realistic point of veiw, these movies are the eyes of the just-out-of-college generation.

Billy: Hey Sally, have you seen Mutual Appreciation yet?
Sally: Uhm...I've never even heard of that...
Billy: It's totally mumblecore, you'll love it.
