When you have sex with a girl in a darkened closet, and having completed the act, step out of the closet and slide open the other door of the closet, to reveal a black man wearing either a tuxedo, or nothing at all besides a top hat and a bow tie, who, after being spotted by the girl, proceeds to tip his hat and say "surprise" or sometimes "boo".
