Katawa Shoujo is a 2012 Visual Novel created by 4 Leaf Studios, where you play as a transfer student who's trying to come to terms with the fact and stigma of being a disabled student in a school for the disabled. There you meet 5 girls each with their own disabilities and ways of dealing with it. After 5 years of development hell, Katawa Shoujo was released on January 4th, 2012 on the PC for free, which it still is today. Afterwards, 4 Leaf Studios would disband to work on their own personal projects.
