Short for an abandoned house. Chances are, if you know someone who says they are living in an abando, they are a drug addict who has burned bridges with family and friends, and cannot go to a shelter as that would mean at least temporarily abandoning their drugs.

Abandon is when you are left alone in your darkest time. When you are abandoned you feel alone, sad and unwanted. You might get abandoned by friends but, that just means that they are fake friends. Always make sure who are your real friends and who are fake.

1. A building or military installation that is never intended to be used, but which must be constructed anyway for political reasons.

2. A public space that planners know will never be occupied or properly used. It gets built anyway to satisfy a planning commission or zoning board.

3. The act of constructing something useless and pointless because it is demanded by an overall "plan."
