Shorthand for woke ideology. Woke ideology refers to a form of liberal orthodoxy which generally holds the belief that society thus far can largely be summarized as an oppressive hierarchy where identifiable groups can be categorized as either "oppressor groups" or "victim groups", and this binary system must be rectified either through collective retribution or enforced outcome ( a type of affirmative action) to bring about "equity", which in this ideology refers to artificially elevating the "victim group" and artificially relegating the "oppressor group". This artificial elevation can be brought about by inflating the representation of the victim group in media, careers, or finances at the expense of qualified members of the oppressor group, as well as financial exploitation against the oppressor group through either price discrimination or imposing reparations onto them in the name of "equity".

A word that has suddenly been put in a political box when it once was the complete opposite of that. The true meaning of woke is being aware of what is real and what isn't, not being blinded by bullshit that the media feeds us, realising money has control over all of us, knowing left wing and right wing are just two sides of the same bird, coming to fight REAL issues and not things we have been made to thing was an issue through media. Yes racism is bad, who doesn't think that? but that's not what it is all about. 10 years ago, if you said you were woke, you did not follow politics.

'Woke' = a word used by those of a very low intellect to highlight the fact they are unable to win any argument or discussion on any subject due to sheer ignorance and lack of knowledge of the world.
Usually used by xenophobes, misogynists, racists and in general readers of the corrupt, billionaire owned and run MSM press.
Using 'woke' in any discussion / debate / online rant, is the equivalent of waving a 'white flag of surrender' and highlighting that person's sheer stupidity and inability to back up their own ill-informed prejudices and ignorance with any coherent dialogue.

Woke is a play on the word awake. It is used as (enlightened) or as a higher sense of awareness. It started as a joke and a meme and could be applied to almost any situation in a joking manner. However the word woke was taken over by the boomer’s, as political propaganda. The left used the word to describe their ideals as superior. The right used the word to demean anything that came from the left using it in an ironic way but with malice.
