Is a portmanteau of the words "Wannabe" and "Japanese"
Specifically a White American Anime, or Japanese culture fan, though the definition has been expanded in recent years to include anyone of Western culture(no matter the race) who get hard ons for Japanese culture.
Weeaboos often want to be Japanese and hate Western culture in favor of Japanese, which often most have never even really experience irl, just from Anime. It's more of a phenomenon in gen y due to the fact that they came up in the anime boom, kick started primarily by Toonami, and hyper Japanese gaming of the mid 90s with Playstation.
They are often Anime addicted, and spend tons of money(or their parents money) on anime merchandise, including cosplay, whole DVD boxsets(imported a lot of the times) plushes, and and bad anime video games. They are often pretentious about it(the hardcore ones at least) and think that American animation is crap, not mature, or only uses "crude" art, ignoring the fact that there is nothing mature or realistic about most anime.
Most of the guy weeaboos think they're some kind of romantics, often swooning over anime girls and having no grip on reality because they think anime love is real, and coin themselves as "nice guys" that can't get girls because they're often on the friend line.

A unknown creature whom has the ability to preform such exquisite tasks unlike any other homo sapiens. The weeaboo is a very rare and endangered species that can be found under smooth rocks in the spotted lake in British Columbia. The weeaboo is nocturnal and hunts for their favorite prey; dragon flies, strictly during the night. Although on March 15 weeaboos spread out their beautiful wings and fly to the ruins of the Twin Towers where they'll asexually reproduce and create beautiful offspring, whom are called weeabooettes. Then when they have finished, and the last drops of sprem as been emptied from within the male weeaboo's penis it will shrivel up and disintegrate leaving no trace behind them. The weeabooettes will then fly back to the British Columbia where they will then rebuild the village in which their parents and ancestors before the once lived.

Mostly fat white chicks who go to anime convesions and are obssesed with inuyasha and dye there hair black in poor attempts to be japanese, they often say a few words like konichiwa, baka sayonara and feel as if the know the languge, they also sing anoying theme songs from notable anime shows and show up to school wearing fake cat ears saying there married to inuyasha.
not all weeaboos are fat white chicks they come in difernt shapes and sizes and nationalitys but the majority are big fat nerdy chicks.

Originally a term stemming from the same branch as 'otaku' and 'wapanese', it is now most commonly used a joking term amongst anime and manga fans who do not glorify Japanese culture, but instead just enjoy the content of said anime and manga. These fans are usually pretty light hearted about the term and use it almost ironically.
It should be noted that not all weeaboos are otakus, but some are, and will get really insulted when you use the term jokingly.
