Tyranny of Logic

The oppressive insistence that all reasoning must conform to a single, usually Western formal logic, dismissing other logical traditions (dialectical, paraconsistent, Buddhist) as illogical or irrational. The tyranny of logic treats formal consistency as the highest value, ignoring that real life often involves contradictions, that different domains may require different logics, and that forcing everything into a classical straitjacket can be a form of violence. It is often used to silence marginalised groups whose reasoning does not fit the dominant mould.

Example: “He told her that her dialectical thinking was ‘illogical’ because it tolerated contradictions—tyranny of logic, assuming that classical logic is the only logic and that any deviation is simply error.”
