Ticket Knitting

verb. -restaurant slang

The act of taking orders from multiple tables and ringing them in simultaneously; a 'strategy' used by wait staff that unfairly polarizes the production and distribution of food for one server's benefit.
"Our servers should NOT be ticket knitting. It bombards our kitchen staff, disrupts ticket times, and positions one server's orders ahead of everyone else's.
