Colonising the conversation

When a headstrong person (often a Caucasian male) doesn’t listen to others, takes over a discussion and makes it difficult for others to contribute and actually be part of the conversation.
Person 1: Man… I couldn’t get a word in that meeting.
Person 2: Yeah, Steven was totally colonising the conversation
