Completely Unfounded

1. A legal term that means: "We did it, but you can't prove it. And even if you CAN prove it, we'll drag out the litigation until your great-grandchildren are dead."

Corporate attorneys frequently use this phrase to defend their clients against civil lawsuits. And they get $500 a hour for this nonsense?

2. A kneejerk reaction to any accusation of white collar crime.
The attorney for Goldman Sachs said the government's fraud charges were "Completely Unfounded." After the press conference, he laughed all the way to the bank.

Unfounded Suicide

A suicide that seems to particularly lack a point.

Your way to say to God "You can't give me a pay rise, I quit
"He was just promoted" "Yeah, It seemed like a bit of an unfounded suicide."

Profounded

The state of being simultaneously profound and grounded — able to hold deep spiritual or philosophical truth while remaining completely anchored in practical reality. Neither quality diminishes the other.
After delivering the most moving reflection on grief and healing, she laughed at herself warmly and made everyone tea — truly profounded.

Fogey/fogy /fougi/ sl. (early 18C+, orig. Scot) old-fashioned, stuck-in-the mud.
Person with old fashioned ideas which he is unwilling to change: Come to the disco and stop being such an old fogey!
You think me an old fogeyand an old tory, his thoughtful voice said. I saw three generations since O’Connel’s time. I remember the famine. Do you know that the orange lodges agitated for repeal of the union twenty years before O’Connel did or before the prelates of your communion denounced him as a demagogue? You fenians forget some things. (James Joyce, Ulysses. Penguin Books,1992. p. 38)
