Strong, beautiful peaceful force of nature. Spanish for stone and the name of two beautiful rivers one in Colorado and one in Spain. Both place of reverence and beauty, nature. Girls who carry this name are well balance. Going with the flow of what life has to offer but having strong convictions. Piedra sums up beauty, strength, and nature.

By the River Piedra I sat down and wept was one of my favorite books by Paulo Coelho. Piedra is deeply tied to both stone and river no wonder she's a force of nature.

Pedram is a Persian word, meaning either "successful" in Farsi or "Good news." Pedram is a motivated person who studies hard but also has loyalty and supports those around him. Pedram is commonly used in central and east Iran but also has popularity as far west as Ekbatana (Hamedan) and beyond Iranian political borders into the Iranian diaspora in greater middleast and in Europe or US.
