Outside The Beltway. Refers to people who live outside the beltway in the Metro Washington DC area. If you are outside the beltway, you live far out of the social center of DC and that is not considered cool. It is a deragatory term like saying someone "lives out in the sticks".

It has been taken up a very special place in not only the LGBTQ+ community but any pairs of lovers. It also touches upon the immense courage it takes to finally come out, to break out of the social stereotypes and how it might feel like a journey of solitude. The whole arena is flooded with pride flags and rainbow lights to emphasize inclusion and many couples have been seen proposing to their loved ones during this particular song. The lyrics hit home and often bring tears to the eyes because of the softness of the delicate words yet the powerful meaning, making it a timeless masterpiece.

OTB is an acronym used by people capable of showing up on time to events to describe the problem with people who are constantly late and using poor excuses. Whether it's traffic, their alarm clock, coffee, kids, etc, people without OTB lack executive functioning to plan for these hurdles, thus making them late. This, they are in dire need of learning OTB so they can masquarade as responsible adults.
