Nymph, Noun: a voluptuous woman who desires sex

Symphonic, Adjective: a harmonious but very large sound
Example: "The symphonic hum of a million bees"

Nymphonic Adjective: A beautiful sensual melody

Simply the best subgenre of metal out there. Combines the distorted guitars and powerful drums of metal with the beautiful symphonic sound of classical orchestra instruments, such as violins, pianos, cellos, etc.

Some great symphonic metal bands include: Rhapsody of Fire, Therion, Symphony X, Nightwish, Kamelot, Angra, and more

The best kind of metal there is out there. It's got the hardcore drums and guitars of heavy metal, but most of the time beautiful symphonies (like in classical music) are added, mainly by instruments such as acoustic guitar, piano, keyboard, violin. In other words, a brilliant work of art.

Some good symphonic metal bands are Within Temptation, Epica, Delain, Nightwish, Otep, Leaves' Eyes, and Tristania.

Symphonic Black Metal

Symphonic Black Metal is essentially the Black Metal equivalent of Melodic Death Metal, only (as the name states) is more related to a symphony.

Symphonic Black Metal uses Guitar, Bass, Drums, Keyboards, and on occasions Symphony instruments such as Violins, Cellos, etc.

Dimmu Borgir is my favorite Symphonic Black Metal band.

A great genre of music thats so much better than that poor shitty gcyb genre. Symphonic metal is metal with orchestral backgrounds. Symphonic metal bands include Rhapsody and Lucca Turili.

I was listening to a stupid Slipknot song and than my friend showed me a symphonic metal song by Rhapsody and i was like, "Dang schmurrt, me no listen to shitty gcyb no more."
