To nilse
A Norwegian expression for looking busy but actually doing nothing at all. This person is always taking on lots of responsibility, but never completes anything because he/she is "nilsing"

From dutch verb Niksen which means to do nothing, to be idle or doing something without any use.
It has been explored as a method to combat work-related health problems such as stress and burnout.
I am sitting in café, looking out of the window and just niksing.
Later today, i will go for a walk, so I can niks for a while.
