The symbol # i.e. mesh is known as the number sign, hash or – in North America – the pound sign. Babies and kiddies started calling it hashtag somewhere in the 2010s and it became one the most cancerous forced memes ever, breaking through from the internet into real life.

"Meshe" or "Meshi" is Lebanese Arabic for "okay/alright". Very common in the mentioned country.

Person 1: I will not eat, sleep, or drink until I find out what this word means. I will scour the internet until I find out what meshe means.

Meshe

"Meshe" is Lebanese Arabic for "okay/alright". Also, Lebanese tend to use this word when they don't agree with the other person's comment but they don't want to get into an argument with that person.

1- How was the food?
- Meshe (not delicious).
2- I can't hang out tomorrow, i am busy
-Meshe (yeah right)
3- Did you like the clothes i bought?
-Meshe (No!)
