granholm

47th governor of the State of Michigan. A native of Vancouver, BC, Canada. Has not yet made good on any of her promises to reform healthcare, preserve jobs and turn Michigan's economy around.
"I'm sick of being jobless!"

"Then why'd you vote for Granholm?"

Granholm

1. A dramatically under-qualified person of low intelligence who attempts to conceal this through awkward, bizarre or distracting social interactions, such as by cackling loudly and dismissively whenever someone asks them a highly pertinent or substantive question.
He asked her how shutting down half of the country’s oil pipelines was supposed to help reduce the price of oil, but the granholm fake-sneezed, spitting mucous all over his face, and then excused herself and walked out of the room.

The Granholm Effect

When you're around Alex Granholm so much you naturally start to acquire big money.
"Been hanging out with Alex Granholm now I make $100M a week, they call it The Granholm Effect"

Marcus Grönholm

One of the finest drivers to ever pilot a rally car. 2000 and 2002 world champion in the Peugeot 206. One of the only people who could best Sébastien Loeb. Unintentionally fired a metal pole into the asshole of his co-driver, Timo Rautiainen.
"There's no question, Marcus Grönholm is the best Finn to get behind the wheel."
"What about Juha Kankkunen or Tommi Mäkinen?"
"Stop talking."

The word 'flag' as pronounced by people with thick Belfast accents. The term is a perfect encapsulation of the disproportionate and overblown reaction to the removal of the Union Jack (as in 'de fleg') from above City Hall in Belfast. Where previously it had flown for 365 days per year, it is now flown on 17 designated days of the year - in line with many other British cities.

The event caused a portion of the Protestant community ('fleggers') to make international pricks of themselves as they proceeded to wreck the fucking place, claiming it was another erosion of a 'British' identity they perceive to have been under attack since the horrifying spectre of equality reared its head in Northern Ireland.

The word 'fleg' - and indeed 'fleggers' - fittingly describes a section of humanity unconcerned with knowledge, reality or the vagaries of the English language. Like America's tea-baggers they are ruled by instinct, fear and paranoia with a side dish of rampant bigotry and startling ignorance of the world around them.
"Wat de fuck like! The taigs got de fleg took down! Let's wreck de fuckin place! No surrender!"

"De fleg has been took down! Before ye know it there'll be a united Ireland! Attack Short Strand! God Save The Queen!"
