bbp syndrome, short forbasic bitch protagonist syndrome, is where the protagonist of a romance story, usually a female, will act reckless and foolish and become a basic bitch. this means that she will most likely try to run away from her problems and run away from falling in love because she is afraid of what is to happen. when she's endangered, this is the only time she will ever try to run back to the person she just hurt and pretend nothing ever happened. :( why do guys put up with this? because they love this girl with basic bitch protagonist syndrome. the reason why bbp is short for it is because they have a baby peener energy. we need actual dick energy, not bullshit.

guy2: bro, can't you see? she's avoiding you cause she doesn't wanna fall in love with you but she clearly is. she's literally manipulating you indirectly, she got that basic bitch protagonist syndrome.
