Used primarily in Eastern Canada; Newfoundland, Nova Scotia primarily.

Other spellings: Buh, bye, bah etc.

A way of saying “yes ma’am, but in a non-formal way”. You have a chance to say this if you have a stroke while saying “yes ma’am”. Chances of saying this are very low, but still be cautious when saying this.
