The pommel fallacy

When someone in an argument attempts to deny your argument by nitpicking a small mistake, such as a mis-pronunciation or typo. Named after the famous "end him rightly" meme, where a fencing opponent throws their pommel in your face as a distraction.
"That's actually a sea lion, not a seal, therefore you're completely wrong about everything" "Bullcrap, that's The pommel fallacy"

The Pop Effect

The effect that happens with each passing year, it becomes almost impossible to remember a particular pop song from the year prior. This also includes songs from different genres that have pop infused into the song.
"Hey, do you remember that one pop song we used to jam out with last year in that jeep of yours?"
"Oh man, i know what you're talking about, but i just can't remember the song name."
"Ah damn, must be The Pop Effect that's making us forget."

The Poutine Effect

when an event, invention, place, or person exists in reality that is so excessively stereotypically ‘Murican, but it did not originate in the United States of America. The surprised feeling you experience is The Poutine Effect.
Dave: I cannot believe that fried potatoes, covered in cheese curds and gravy DIDN’T originate in America! I’m actually a little upset!

Tim: Yeah, that’s The Poutine Effect.
