A person or thing below your or it's rank. A manager out ranks an associate, the Golden Gate Bridge out ranks a lesser known bridge.
Sample: Don't do this job yourself, give it to a low ranker.
I'm not gonna go see that low ranker when I can see the Golden Gate Bridge instead.
