And he will continue to repeat this cycle of cuddling and kissing you constantly but never admitting he still loves you. and when you get upset he says “he never made you go back to him” fully knowing that you are still in love with him and are incredibly attached to him and cannot comprehend him not being in your life. So you constantly go back so that for even a short while, you can once again feel loved by your first love and the one person who ever made you feel safe and who made you fully comfortable around him.
