The sadness you feel at the second act of a three act story where the main characters are at their lowest point.
Guy 1: Remember at the end of "The Empire Strikes Back" and Luke lost his hand and Solo got captured
Guy 2: Yup, gave me some serious Act Two Blues

Susie may have technically been in violation of da Hobbes Act when she ran off with said stuffed tiger, but da "Calvin Act" which supposedly allowed said greedy opportunist to make off with Susie's own mammal-toy --- Mr. Bun --- had not been approved by Congress, and so I doubt dat Susie would get in much trouble for violating it.

Something a team from LA would do naturally, especially at a time they were more desperate than usual. They know Tampa Bay doesnt have the sizable film/TV/music/media/entertainment industry of LA, so they might think of a team from Tampa Bay as suckers for good acting.
Don't put it past a team from LA to use good acting at opportune times. Especially if they think they're smarter than a team that plays baseball out in the sticks.
