Get the driving metalmug. Heavy Metal that is true to its meaning, lyrical content and/or sound. Is by no means, exaggerated, humorous etc. Real Heavy Metal is ofcourse loud, but that alone isin't enough to be truely 'Metal'! Using Heavy and/or Metal in lyrics or title text too much would simply ruin the feeling. Heavy Metal is NOT a substitute term for Rock or Hard Rock! You don't use Heavy Metal, like Hard Rock bands would use the word Rock ( 'I Wanna Rock', 'Let There Be Rock') that is not an attitude of a Metalhead or Metal band! Not that they disregard it, but that Heavy Metal is not really the same as Hard Rock! And Again, real Heavy Metal should flirt with sin like Judas Priest, and/or the occult like Black Sabbath, glorify freedom and touch on subject matter that is 'heavy' or just profound, meaningful and interesting like Slayer-thats what makes it 'heavy'!

Get the poser metalmug. Nu-metal is simply a genre of music and I want to make a point to all of you people who think it is stupid and automatically makes anyone who listens to it a poser or mallgoth who is just depressed because they have no friends or seeking attention and wants to rebel against their parents. You don't have to listen because I'm not going to shove it down your throats like you do to others.

I'm a prep. I listen to the Sex Pistols. Does that make me punk? NO!
Okay so now lets stop pretending. I listen to nu-metal and I have never claimed any label. And I DO like to shop at hot topic. Not because I am rebellious and attention seeking. I prefer to stay out of the limelight. I like the clothes, the style, the people, the atmosphere. Anybody who says that everybody there are all depressed attention seeking cutters with no sense of humor obviously has never been in Hot Topic. Just a few weeks ago I was in there and I met the greatest guy. He was so funny had a great sense of style (which was by the way not exactly typical of hot topic.) And he was not at all depressed.
I like the mall. I can get cheap cd's there, which is good cause I'm poor.
So listening to the sex pistols can't make a prep a punk. How does liking the things i do make me a poser? The answer is simple. I never claimed to be anything, therefore I am not posing as anything. I am not the one who calls myself punk or gothic. It's my peers. So basically I ambeing judged for what my friends think.

Isn't it sad that nowadays our character is judged by what music we like and the clothes we wear.

Get the nu-metalmug. The worst "music" ever created. Loved by wannabe badasses, groupies, fashion queers, frat boys, pop culture whores, corporate fucks and other lame deluded morons with no sense of musical talent. People associated with Hair Metal love to blame it's demise on Alternative Rock music(also known as REAL rock music, for you dumbasses.) But in reality, hair metal demised because people were sick of how artificial it was. It was pop based metal, for fucks sake. It wasn't killed by the rise of grunge. It wasn't even killed by thrash metal. How was it killed? People just got sick of the same shit that Hair Metal spewed out. Cheesy love songs made no other than to sellout and get into women's pants. Seriously, you all make me sick. Atleast Alternative Rock's lyrics actually have meaning.
