Loud Rock Music that has nothing to do with Heavy Metal other than being loud!? People who think that Glam Bands like Quiet Riot, Motley Crue, Def Leppard, Poison, Ratt, Bon Jovi and Skid Row are (NOT) 'Metal' don't know what the hell Heavy Metal is! These bands are too sentimental and/or romantic and poppy to be 'Metal'! They are the opposite of what Heavy Metal is! Their image and style is too flashy and over-the-top! They wear more make-up than your girlfriend! People say they look like chicks, well yeah, they also look like clowns! Seriously, get a clue!
Manowar is NOT 'Metal'! Why? Because they are too cheesey and silly to be taken seriously! They've never been in any wars and they certainly aren't warriors, so their fake! Their lyrical themes are remeniscent of fairytales! And lastly, Motorhead is NOT 'Metal'! Why? Because Lemmy Kilmister disregards the term 'Heavy Metal'! And simply lables his style as Rock 'N Roll! And Motorhead's style and content leans closer to Punk Rock!
Fake Metal and/or Non-Metal: Quiet Riot, Twisted Sister, Def Leppard, Motley Crue, Poison, Ratt, Bon Jovi, Skid Row; Led Zeppelin, Kiss, AC/DC, Van Halen, Motorhead; Manowar, Dio, Queensreich, Dream Theater; Faith No More, Tool, Korn, Limp Bizkit, Rage Against The Machine, Marilyn Manson, Slipknot, Mudvayne, Godsmack, Disturbed etc.

A motto used to express ones determination to struggle with and overcome his or her problems.
"I'm sorry about your car, man. She was a real beaut! You okay?"

"I'll be allright. You gotta rock on and roll with the punches!"

Get the Rock On And Roll With The Punches mug.
Heavy Metal that is true to its meaning, lyrical content and/or sound. Is by no means, exaggerated, humorous etc. Real Heavy Metal is ofcourse loud, but that alone isin't enough to be truely 'Metal'! Using Heavy and/or Metal in lyrics or title text too much would simply ruin the feeling. Heavy Metal is NOT a substitute term for Rock or Hard Rock! You don't use Heavy Metal, like Hard Rock bands would use the word Rock ( 'I Wanna Rock', 'Let There Be Rock') that is not an attitude of a Metalhead or Metal band! Not that they disregard it, but that Heavy Metal is not really the same as Hard Rock! And Again, real Heavy Metal should flirt with sin like Judas Priest, and/or the occult like Black Sabbath, glorify freedom and touch on subject matter that is 'heavy' or just profound, meaningful and interesting like Slayer-thats what makes it 'heavy'!
Real Metal: Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Venom, Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, Danzig etc.
