It comes from the "Roblox death sound" and is a word that is used to basically say: "I'm feeling dead", "Sh*t", "I'm hurt" or "Im sorry for you".

Oof is actually the dying sound in the game ROBLOX. Often a meme associated with embarassment, stress, worry, saddness, injury, or just not knowing what else to say. Lots of people are misguided that it is a sexual noise, but it is not, just a sound from a game.

Oof the teacher called on me and I got the answer wrong.
