Death Note

Yagami Light is an ace student with great prospects, who's bored out of his mind. One day he finds the "Death Note": a notebook from the realm of the Death Gods, with the power to kill people in any way he desires. With the Death Note in hand, Light decides to create his perfect world, without crime or criminals. However, when criminals start dropping dead one by one, the authorites send the legendary detective L to track down the killer, and a battle of wits, deception and logic ensues.

Death Note aired on Adult Swim from 2007–2010. There are a total of 37 episodes.

Las Vegas death march

Any exhaustingly and/or exasperatingly long walk through Las Vegas, usually resulting from a gross misjudgment of the distance between points due to the flat landscape and oversized buildings.

Dad led us on another Las Vegas death march today - "Oh, come on, we're not wasting good money on a taxi! Rio is right over there!" You'd think he'd learned his lesson after the Circus Circus fiasco!

Blackened Death Metal

Blackened Death Metal is a subgenre of metal music that combines elements (ideological or otherwise) of black metal and death metal. Blackened Death is usually confused with black which is understandable however there is a noticeable difference between black and blackened death. Blackened death metal may commonly utilize lower tuning than used in conventional black metal however still uses the trademark alternatively picked minor chords. You really could think about it as black metal with more bass or lower pitched black metal. Blackened death is also usually far more satanic in lyrics and imagery than standard death metal and it is also a little more thrashy. Blackened death metal is an excellent hybrid genre because it combines the most evil with the strongest and puts it into one animal, so to speak, resulting in the most serious possible music that everyone would find either scary or badass with no amusement whatsoever.

Belphegor and Behemoth are some of the most prominent Blackened Death metal bands.

There needs to be more Blackened death bands out there.

When two people die at the same time they aren't placed in heaven or hell, instead they are sent to Quindecim a bar where they are forced to play various games "with their lives on the line" being judged by an arbiter with human emotions; Decim. Depending on their actions during the game they are sent to be reincarnated or into the void where they are lost forever. This is an anime that really explores life after death with 12 episodes.

Death the Kid

Lord Death's son from the anime Soul Eater. He weilds twin pistols as weapons and is obsessed with symmetry, believing everything in the world should have a perfect balance between left and right, despite three white stripes called Sanzu Lines on the left side of his head, which he despises and cannot dye, due to the fact they are magic. He is unable to weild only one of his pistols, with the mindset of needing perfect symmetry, this is displayed in one of the episodes where Kid refuses to weild the younger sister, Patty, because it would disrupt his balance.

Soul: Well if you came at 7 like you were supossed to, you could have looked around yourself.
Death the Kid: 7? Did you say 7?
Soul: Yeah, what about it?
Kid: *snaps* MAKE IT 8 DAMMIT! 8 IS BETTER!
Soul: Huh?
Kid: THERE IS NO PHYSICAL WAY TO DIVIDE SEVEN IN HALF, EIGHT HAS PERFECT SYMMETRY!!!!
