akino

In Etruscan Mythology, Akino is defined as a mystic deity, who defied the Greek Gods, thus aiding the beginning of the Age of Man. In ancient Greek Mythology, Prometheus, a Titan, stole fire from the gods and gave to the mortals for use. Contrary to popular belief, Akino told Prometheus of the flame unseen by the gods. His symbols include the flame and the harp, with which he used to lure in young women to bear his many children. Akinists today are referred to as people of a rebellious nature.
Prometheus and Akino gave the power of fire to the people and Zeus immediately punished them both.
