A nickname for the spread offense in the sport of American football, comparing the high-speed, high-scoring style of play to the general rhythm of a basketball game. Often used to contrast this offense with more run-the-ball style offenses, esp. those common at the sport's lower levels

Jones High School's offense plays basketball on grass, often scoring up to 35 points a game.
