squat

noun - usually, any low area or object to sit down on, like a designated area on the ground, a tree stump, or a bottom step (stoop). Nowadays, a squat can refer to anything you can sit on, e.g., bench, chair, stool.

verb - the act of sitting down.

noun - If someone leaves their seat, at a night club for example, you might ask, "let me get dis squat?"
noun - If you want a seat next to someone, on a bus for example, you might ask, "can I get dis squat?"

verb - after a long hike in the woods, one might say, "aw man! bump this! I'm about to squat for a few minutes."

Boo Diddly Squat

"Boo Diddly Squat" is my second Sheryl Crow's "Soak Up The Sun" joke. "Boo Diddly," is a Super Mario Bros. series, ghost enemy. "Soak Up The Sun," mentions her job, "doesn't pay diddly squat," meaning it doesn't pay her enough. In this case, Sheryl Crow, in the Mario's Mushroom Kingdom, is angry, that Boo Diddly's doesn't get paid, for working for Koopa Bowser! A joke!

Sheryl Crow, is angry, that a Koopa Bowser minion, a ghost, is paid "Boo Diddly Squat" despite being, a great employee, of this boss! A joke!

Diddley squat

A person or persons with little of anything, a tiny bit if not no amount of coin, papa, goods, moral fiber, character, class, education, stamina, cupboards bare as backside, nothing except fresh air.

Jack the lad, are we checkin' what flicks to watch while we are walking right past the cinema? Nah! you ten point tosser, I told yar, I ain't got beans, diddley squat, zilch to go see a movie unless we sneak in.
