When something is completely expected and not at all inexplicable. I can only assume the masses are being ironic when they use this word for this definition. Causes confusion among the older generations.

Dave: "Hey Steve, you see that air vent on the wall?"
Steve: "I do, Dave."
Dave: "It's placement is totally random."
Steve: "Woah! So it is."

Random Austrian Holiday

Any of the many holidays (often related to Catholic feast days) celebrated in Austria. Since these tend to occur frequently and without warning, they are designated as random. Particularly important because all stores are closed on such days. Abbreviation: RAH.

Thanks for reminding me about the Random Austrian Holiday. I almost forgot to get groceries before!
