Get the rock and roll death watchmug. An excellent novel written by Zora Neale Hurston in 1937. The book details the life of Janie Crawford , a Southern black woman, and her search to find her voice and her one true love. This novel was popularized partly by it's inclusion as required reading within some high school English classes, Oprah Winfrey’s book club, and the fact that it is very original and enthralling, giving the reader a new sense of what the world was like in the 1930’s through the eyes of a strong-willed black woman.
