A feminist is someone who fights for gender equality. A lot of people think feminists are women who think they are superior to men. That isn't a feminist, but a misandrist. A real feminist can be any gender, and fights for equal rights for both women AND men. If someone claims to be a feminist but hates men, they aren't a real feminist.

Someone: You're a feminist? So you hate men?
Feminist: No, that's a misandrist. I fight for equal rights for both genders.
Someone: Oh, okay. That makes sense.
