expression used by couples that are breaking up but won't admit it. Often just delaying the inevitable.
Tiger Woods & his wife were "trying to work it out" after she caught him cheating. But she took his ass to the cleaners anyhow

When a man messes up and is dragged through the dirt, fired from his job, and ostracized by his friend group because his moral failing publicly humiliated his coworkers/buddies, tarnished their reputations, and resulted in a lack of brand alignment.
Friend #1: "Did you hear about that YouTube guy that tries stuff? He cheated on his wife and was fired by his friends, the other 'try dudes', who called his actions and inappropriate behavior a 'betrayal'."
Friend #2: "Well, if he's looking to make a comeback, he could just create his own YouTube channel and call it the 'Keep Trying Guy'. He can talk about his issues and what he's learned from his mistakes. Who knows, maybe people will stop villainizing him for being human..."
Friend #1: "Huh... The dude was a hypocrite, though. He cheated on his wife after calling himself the 'wife guy' of the group and building his brand around that..."
Friend #2: "Well, all men have their moments... Their 'Keep Trying Guy' moments..."

No. You want people to have to try because YOU have to try. It's a manifestation of YOUR selfishness.
Hym "I didn't have to try. Which is your exact justification for not giving me the credit I deserve. So, I wait for you to not give me the credit I deserve (because prison is less of a punishment the closer you get to death). I punish you for stealing the most significant technological advancement of the last 100 years by murdering a child. And then YOU can explain to the parents why you sacrificed THEIR kid (because it isn't YOUR kid that going to have to pay the price) to deny the guy who did the thing the credit he should get for doing the thing. 'We wanted him to have to try though! Isn't people trying more important than your kids life in the long run? We don't want OUR kids to think they shouldn't try so we're sacrificing YOURS to control what out kids will think.' And so it goes. That will be the outcome. I won't allow any other outcome that isn't me getting credit. Entirely binary."

Some one who can never stop trying 110% all the time in any video game. They are usually found in cod, they often times yell at their teammates if they die and flaunt their high scores (if they have achieved one). In shooter games like cod or halo try-hards usually never play custom games, they always want to gain in game currency to buy camos or outfits. This means if someone does not want to play a custom game because they can't gain currency from it (which in most games custom games do not reward in game currency because people would boost) they are most likely a try-hard.
Try hard "OMFG I died cuz u weren't behind meeee!!!!!"
Gamer "bro u died cuz u ran in like a retard! its no ones fault but yours"
Try hard "Bro shut up cuz im carrying 16 to 2!!!!!"
Gamers "no one cares u sweaty try hard, ur trying 110% its a game bro!"
