However in this day and age, a side character is known to fit into real life, being an ordinary and basic person, not fitting into the ‘perfect’ role of the so called main characters. this can be in many ways, looks, personality, style, and even looks. the only ‘interesting’ characteristic about them is something that they are know for, being smart or creative or something ben really just being stupid. it’s probably the only thing that makes them a side character rather than an ordinary background character, besides being linked to a main character, for example being their friend or enemy even.
“Ugh, oh to be a main character eh?" Jess grumbles digging into another donut. I simply giggled, "Jess she is the main character, it's a show?" she rolled her eyes at me. "no shit sherlock, I mean in real life." "real life?" I asked.
