If you look from the side of at a planet swinging around in its orbit, split the sun with a mirror and imagine a string, it all looks like a yo-yo. The point furthest from the sun is called aphelion. The point furthest away from the yo-yo hand is called, by analogy, apocheir.

1. Similar to "Brother From Another Mother", this describes a female friend that has grown such a strong emotional bond with a different family that she appears to be or could be considered to be part of that family, despite having no blood relation.
2. A step-sister that has resulted from having two different fathers.

Suzy: I love Katie. She's my best friend and I couldn't live without her. My parents love her, too. She's my sister from another mister.

Radio Apathy

The point at which you accept total defeat in the quest to find a decent radio station. You started on some overplayed pop track, then skipped opera, classical, country, some fake thug tripping over his beats now you’re back to that shitty pop channel. You settle on some sub par 90's song. You don’t even turn the radio off; just sit there in utter indifference.

You: I was real worried when you rolled in here bumpin the Macarena.
Your Friend: I was trying to find something good for so long, but then I gave in to radio apathy.
