Probably used more in the North than the South, and used more often with regard to women than men. However, when used to to describe a man, there is a strong suggestion of weakness, or unmanliness.

Currently, there is no cure. It is the period that can be a couple of days to several years after you leave CTY in which you miss your friends very very much. Symptoms may include hacking cough, the "sniffles," and a horrible cold, as well as randomly thinking of a great memory and breaking down crying. The most noticable of symptoms is the tearing that occurs (even in the toughest of men) whenever one hears any High Holy Canon (Forever Young, Stairway to Heaven, and American Pie), however American Pie has the most noticable effect. Also can induce the sufferer to listen to Canon repeatedly for the following month after CTY, especially all the songs which were not played at the dances. ACW is the reason for the various canon lists on the internet. The most effective treatment is that one either return to cty, create a cty boarding school, or spend lots of time with ctyers.

A general lack of interest and commitment in the day to day activities of home life.
An inability to get excited and/or happy over issues which, prior to departure for erasmus, would trigger the above emotions.
Listening to upbeat music first discovered whilst on exchange that now leaves one with a strong sense of nostalgia and general sadness.
Giving up trying to explain to others how special your time away was because the words do not yet exist that would do it justice-
And frankly, They dont even know.
Example:
Person 1: "Hey, what's wrong with Clare? She seems so much cooler and more worldly since she came home from her erasmus but sometimes she gets this glazed 'far away' look in her eyes every time I play Austrian house music"
Person 2: "Oh, haven't you heard? She has a severe case of 'Winscho-Withdrawal' "

Get the Winscho-Withdrawal mug.The John Witherspoon Basketball Squad was usually not the best. The 2019-2020 team was the best of all time. The team put up historic numbers. Running point, Alex had the most wide open layups in league history. Shooting guard, Remy had insane numbers all around, he had the most 3’s in franchise history and the highest 3’s% in league history. Small Foward, Pasquale has set the record of most techs and most fights in league history, he averaged about 4.2 fights per game. At Power forward, John Robert was a really good player, he got recruited to play in New Hampshire. John Robert had the most blocks in league history with 11.3 per game. Starting center was 6’ 9” Jihad. Jihad was one of the best centers in league history as he averaged 24.2 rebounds per game. This starting 5 was amazing and there bench also was really good as they put up the most numbers for being on the bench. This squad was coach by the one and only Coach Carter (AKA 🛒 👂). One of the reasons why Witherspoon played so well was due to the massive fan section. Some fans gave Alex some Gobstoppers, this gave him the energy he needed. The fan section was helpful because they always made tons of noise when the opponents were shooting. The best part about this team was that after the games ended, Carter would play a game in the locker room, it was dodge ball but with markers and only Carter could throw them. Carter ended up winning coach of the day one day. This is a season for the books.
I don’t wanna play against the John Witherspoon Basketball Team because they will fuck me in the ass.
