Firewalled

In the context of the U.S. Air Force and military aviation in general, the term "firewalled" typically refers to pushing the engine throttle(s) to their maximum power setting. When a pilot "firewalls" the throttle, it means they are applying full power to the aircraft's engines, often in a rapid and deliberate manner.

Pilot2: "I'm glad you got him!"

Firewall Effect

Definition

The psychological phenomenon where two LGBTQ+ individuals share an immediate, reinforced level of trust with one another that is significantly stronger than the trust they feel toward straight individuals. Much like the firewall in a building (or a renovated fire station), it acts as a structural barrier that provides safety, protects the "inner circle," and filters out external judgment or misunderstanding.
