Hag-stone

An incredibly hard stool, which is almost impossible to pass. So called either because it could only have been caused by witchcraft, or because it is so painful to expel that the sufferer’s face is contorted into a permanent grimace.

I barely slept - I was up all night with aching guts, trying to push out a massive hag-stone. I'll have to go to my GP if the suppositories don't shift it.
