N.U.G.

N.U.G. (None Urban Gay): An acronym used to describe a gay individual from a rural or non-urban area who emulates over-the-top stereotypical gay behaviors often seen in trashy pop culture shows like Project Runway or campy urban havens like The Pines. These behaviors are typically exaggerated and based on a “lowest common denominator” stereotype rather than personal authenticity. Often referred to humorously as “Nugget.”

Example Sentence:
“Bless his heart, Chad thinks he’s the next Carson Kressley, but we all know he’s just a N.U.G. Nugget in glitter boots trying to strut through a cow field.”
