Snake Eater Syndrome

A weird phenomenon involving the 2004 video game Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, where seeing a ladder automatically reminds one of the section in the game where Naked Snake has to climb a very tall ladder. This triggers recall of Cynthia Harrell's song Snake Eater, and in many cases verbal mimicry of the song.

Person 1: "oh hey look, a ladder!"

Snake-off

“Snake-off" is a term used as a response to a remark or statement that is perceived to be irrelevant, random or unrelated to the conversation taking place between a group of people. The term is used to acknowledge that the previous remark within a conversation was odd. “Snake off” is often accompanied with a two-fingered hand gesture that simulates snake fangs and sometimes precedes a long “hissssssss” sound.

Tom: I did! What a great game that was. I enjoyed watching the ball move around.

Linda: I enjoy when my cat rubs his whiskers across my cheeks.

So called "popular" person that puts thier selves at a higher status than other people mentally. Most of them are fake but grow out of it hopefully during college experience or sometime after high school. Has to maintain an image to gain acceptance as to benefiting their selves
