Impact Frame of Doom

An "Impact frame of doom" is often displayed in Anime and Video games. It stems from a regular impact frame, which darkens the rest of a scene except for a hard impact, such as a punch or kick. The doom comes in when it lasts for multiple seconds, often with a loud sound accompanying it. Examples include most of the impact frames in Fire Force, and what the Roaring Knight hit Susie and Ralsei with in the game Deltarune.

Guy 1: That fight was crazy, (bad guy) got his shit rocked with that hit
Guy 2: Man hit him with the Impact Frame of Doom

Doom Loop Delay

Doom Loop Delay (or DLD for short) is when a Doom Looper (someone who watches the same TV show over and over again) has been so entrenched in their Doom Loop, that they have become out of touch with current affairs & TV shows. Shows they haven't seen seem like they were released yesterday, although most non loopers have probably seen them already. There are varying degrees of DLD, from mild to severe.

Doom Looper in the year 2020; Hey friend, have you seen "Making a Murderer"? Its this CRAZY TV documentary show!
Friend of Doom Looper; Yeah, that came out like 4 years ago? Did you only just see that?
Doom Looper in the year 2020; Yeah I just finished it yesterday...

Sphincter of Doom

Refers to the large void situated in the main room of "Temple", the infamous multiplayer map for Nintendo 64's Goldeneye. Until the release of Perfect Dark, things would only travel out from the sphincter (eg. bullets, remote mines). The long awaited Perfect Dark allowed players to jump into or "enter" the Sphincter, creating a 2-way traffic system which revolutionized the tactical approach when fighting for the Temple.

Eric - "Shit, I saw the fuckers, they're down the Sphincter"

Jim - "Throw a timed mine!"

Eric - "Timed mines are shit! Who the fuck uses them anyway?! I'm going in..."

Jim - "You cant enter the Sphincter of Doom here! You're thinking of Perfect Dark!"

Eric - "Shit, fuck, I knew it, now I've lost them. Why is there a fucking invisible wall anyway? Why would i NOT be able to jump down?"

Jim - "Chill man, meet me at the crossroads We'll get 'em there"
