The belief that the use of big words in order to achieve success in convincing someone a useless point in an argument to make them feel less intelligent will always work. (And it does).

Being virtually dragged through cyberspace under duress to unintended or undesireable hyperlinks by surreptitious and deceptive means.
Clicking on a link with a header or information seemingly indicating what you are interested in, only to find yourself hyperjacked to a unrelated web page(s) or linkleach
Typing in the obvious URL that a company would use only to find yourself hyperjacked to some linkleach trying to profit from some company name or product name.

an extreme case of phoniness usually exhibited by celebrities who preach on about fashionable topics such as poverty or environment and yet do nothing personally to support the cause which they claim to be in favor of.
Al Gore is a prime hyperphony for his huge carbon footprint while calling on the rest of us to reduce our footprint.

hyperblink

The rapid blinking of a car's turn signals caused by the bulb dying. Meant to alert the driver to replace the bulb, although many people do not know this. Very annoying to those in the car and those in a car behind the hyperblinking car.
Friend 1: Hey--why is your turn signal blinking at rapid speed?

Friend 2: I just have hyperblink 'cause the bulb is dying. Gotta get it fixed.
