a contraction for little pumpkin. Grandkids are often called lil' punkins as a term of endearment.

Happy Punk

A subgenre in which vocals are often sung in a happy tune instead of yelling. The melody is very poppy and less punk . It is sometimes confused with Pop-Punk, but happy punk has more of a pop influence than a punk one.

Motion City Soundtrack
New Found Glory

Person 1: OMG! All Time Low is the best Pop-Punk band ever!!
Person 2: They're Happy Punk.

Person 1: Motion City Soundtrack is fake pop-punk.
Person 2 : Dude they're not Pop-Punk, they're Happy Punk.

spit punk

Spit punks, a style made up of a mixture of visual kei/crust punk/hippie-filth (think the band Queen Adreena)/glam metal & androgyny.

A term used as a label like goth/scene/punk/etc - however a more diverse and less generalized approach

Spit punk 1: "hey man lets go drink beer and eat hotdogs and fight people"

Spit punk 2: "yeh tru let's do it homie"

Spit punk 1: "also do u like these new demonic platform boots I racked"

*Spit punk 1 points to own shoes and roasts self* "wHAT R tHOOOOSE"

pop punk overload

Refers to the songs "Clairvoyant" and "A Part of Me" merging into one song. It typically occurs after too much pizza is consumed, or if too many articles of pop punk clothing are being worn.

My friend just ate an entire XL pizza while wearing 2 flannels and a backwards flat brim hat; he caused a pop punk overload!

National Punk Day

This is a holiday in which we celebrate our roots as Third Wave (Early Punk, Punk-Rock, Pop-Punk) Punk rockers. Start off with the formative years of punk and gradually go down the line to more recent Punk music. The holiday is celebrated on June 4th. This is because on that same day in 1976, The Sex Pistols played a gig at Manchester’s Lesser Free Trade Hall and essentially spawned the British punk movement. This movement laid down the base of which today Punk music is built on.

Punker #1: How are you celebrating National Punk Day this year?

Punker #2: Ill probably start out listening to The Ramones, The Sex Pistols and more 70's Punk-Rock. Then move of to bands like The Descendents and Black Flag. Finally Id actively listen to The most recent wave of Punks popularity and shaping years with bands such as: NFG, FYS, TSSF, RATM, ADTR, and SYG. How about you?
Punker #1: I'm going to listen to the Tony Hawk Pro Skater Soundtracks.

crusty punk

A punk rocker who does not care so much they look like homeless street lurkers and will eat anything derived from anywhere such as discarded food tossed on the ground or left in the trash.

Crusty punks have no care for personal hygiene at all. The reference to being a Crusty Punk is based on them being so dirty they form a crust of filth around themselves.

Example 1:

I was at the Punk Rock gig my buddy went to and this crusty punk picked up a burger someone threw in the street and ate it.

Example 2:
I'm a crusty punk. I could care less where i find food, I will eat it even if it was in the trash.

Example 3:
Young man, I don't care if you like punk rock. You smell like a clothes hamper full of week old gym socks. Take a shower. I am not having a crusty punk living in my house!
