No-go pill

The drug Zolpidem. Has a sedative (sleep-inducing) effect when taken. Used by Air Force operators to help them calm down after taking stimulants to stay awake during long missions. The opposite of a go-pill.

Also used before a mission to calm nerves and promote sleep.

After flying for 120 hours nonstop, having taken many go-pills in the process, the pilots required a no-go pill to help them sleep.

Taken from 2 Kings 2:23, literally meaning go to heaven, is a phrase used to mock Christians, especially when they're being belligerent. Unlike the story in the bible, the user will generally not get retribution for using this phrase.

i.e. just show up

Origin: in many University seminar classes, one gets five "participation marks" out of a possible 10 for merely attending the class.

Ben: Ugh man I hate my family and it's Thanksgiving!

Ben: Yes. I will go for the five.

Going 'ALOL'

Laughing out loud in a situation where you shouldn't be laughing at all.

Going 'ALOL':

Friend 1: Did you see that disabled person fall into the water fountain?
Friend 2: Yes, I almost went ALOL.

In the park yesterday, Rachel went ALOL when she hit an old lady with a Frisbee and her false teeth fell out. Apparently the pensioner needed stitches.
